The Worlds in Dublin – the biggest Irish dance event in the world – are something very special for me every year. This time I was allowed to team photographer for FeisAction and to be honest: I was really proud of it.
So many talented dancers from all over the world, so much energy, emotion and dedication. For me, it’s not just a job – it’s pure fascination, and I love capturing this passion on camera.
More than fast legs – what Irish Dance Photography means to me
For me, Irish Dance Photography is more than razor-sharp jumps. I want to show what’s behind the performance: the excitement before the performance, the beaming after a successful round, the quiet moments backstage. It’s these small, honest moments that touch me – and that’s exactly what I look for with my camera.
My view through the lens – and why Dublin was simply magical
I was able to photograph many great dancers this year – sometimes directly in the city, sometimes spontaneously between competitions or simply outside with natural light. Dublin was simply perfect for this: a city full of history, contrasts and energy. And you could also feel this mixture in the pictures.
What can you expect from my pictures?
-
Emotion and perfection
-
Personality instead of just movement
-
Memories that last – not just for the stage, but for the heart
Whether at the Feis, at the Worlds or simply outside in your favorite dress with hardshoes – I like to accompany you with my camera. Very uncomplicated, with a lot of feeling and an eye for the essentials.
