Sometimes not everything goes as planned – and yet (or precisely because of this) the most beautiful memories are created.
For this Christmas shoot was originally planned for the whole family – mom, dad, son and daughter. But then dad and little daughter got sick. Instead, the grandma stepped in – and what can I say: it was simply wonderful.
So much closeness, warmth and joy – the beaming face of the little boy, the loving kisses from both sides, the infectious laughter.
For me, shootings like this are exactly what Christmas photos make up: honest, warm and full of emotion.
✨ Why I love Christmas minis so much
Christmas is a very special time – especially when children are involved. Everything is a little more exciting, a little more magical, a little louder and warmer. In my Christmas minis I try to capture exactly that – with a lovingly designed set, lots of time for the little ones and no stress.
I work with a neutral background, warm light, real fir trees and lots of patience. No “Laugh quickly now!” – but small, genuine moments that show how you are as a family.
And when grandma spontaneously steps in, as she did here, it often results in unexpected favorite pictures.
